A section of Tavern Run Road in Westmoreland County is closed to through traffic for an emergency pipe replacement at Newtons Mill Run. The Virginia Department of Transportation project that’s expected to take around 3 weeks will replace the existing metal drainage pipes with three concrete pipes. Drivers will be detoured approximately seven miles. Construction activity will be underway from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
