A portion of Brickbat Road in Mathews Court House is closed while the Virginia Department Of Transportation remedies storm drain/sewer line conflicts that have been impacting the area’s storm drainage. According to the Gazette-Journal the work will include conflict box construction, new drainpipes under the road, new curb inlets, new curb and gutter, and road reconstruction. The road closure will affect an area between the firehouse parking lot and the curve at Put-In Creek Park.
