VFOT Installing Rumble Strips On LanCo Roads

The Virginia Department of Transportation is installing runble strips on several Lancaster County roads. According to News on the Neck the strips are part of a statewide initiative to reduce the number of fatal crashes by alerting drivers they are moving toward oncoming traffic. Lancaster County Board of Supervisors Vice-Chaiman Jason Bellows says lawmakers weren’t told about the work and the strips are causing noise complaints. The DOT says strips are being installed only on major roadways.
