Weapons Detection Systems Coming To Middlesex County Schools

The Middlesex County School Board apporoives a four-year lease for weapons detection systems to be installed at the county’s three public schools. According to the Southside Sentinel the nearly $384,000 expenditure was approved on a 4-0 vote. The systems will be in place at each school at the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Superintendent Dr. Tracy Seitz said that funds to pay for the system will come from increases in state aid to schools.
