The Lancaster Community Library (LCL) is calling all comic book lovers, video gamers, movie buffs and sitcom fans to its LCL Comicon. The event will be held from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, October 8, at the LCL, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock. Admission is free. The Rappahannock Record reports the event will bring author and Virginia Commonwealth University professor S.J. Sindu to the library for a question and answer session. A cosplay costume contest will highlight the afternoon.
The event also will include a video game room with family- friendly games plus Nintendo game Cubes and Wii. A Mario Kart gaming tournament will be set up in the library’s second floor conference room.
