“The expansion of gambling in the state continues to boost state coffers. According to 12News, since 2019, the addition of full-service casinos, sports betting, and other games has brought more than $293 million from sports betting alone, a 10% increase over last year. There is one form of gaming that hasn’t moved forward, the games of skill that one finds in truck stops and convenience stores across the state. A trial date set for December may decide that issue.
