A Jamaica man is behind bars, charged in connection with the death of his 91 year old grandfather. Back on August 26th, authorities went to a home on Mill Creek Road in Wake where they say they found 30 year old Robert Daniel hovering over his maternal grandfather, Woodson Armstead Sr. The victim was bleeding from injuries sustained to his head and arms. The attack occurred at Armstead’s home. Armstead was transported to a hospital for his injuries. He was released after a few days, but then was hospitalized again. Armstead died on Sept. 10 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester. The Southside Sentinel reports Daniel, of upper Middlesex County, is charged with felony aggravated malicious wounding; three counts of felony assault on a law enforcement officer, and a felony for breaking and entering a dwelling to commit a misdemeanor. He also is charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
