Man Sentenced In Lancaster County To 196 Year Term

Dequinel Anthony Johnson of Burgess has been sentenced to 196 years in Lancaster County Circuit Court on multiple felony charges related to years of abuse of a former girlfriend. With 141 years suspended, Johnson has an active sentence of 55 years to be served. Authorities say the pattern of abuse escalated to clude a November 2020 incident where an angry Johnson came into the victim’s home and started punching her as she laid in bed with their three-year-old child. One of those punches landed on the child, causing bruising and swelling, reports the Rappahannock Record.
