An annual inspection of the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge is underway. The Rapphannock Record reports
Route 3 travelers can expect brief daytime delays crossing the bridge over the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties for an estimated three weeks. From 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays, through October 13, a portion of the bridge will be reduced to a single travel lane, said Hannon. Automated flagging devices will direct traffic through the work zone. Flagging crew members operate the devices, which can be rapidly adjusted to respond to congestion or incidents on the bridge.
