Northumberland County Board of Supervisors will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 14, at the Courts Building, 220 Judicial Place, Heathsville. At 7 p.m. the board will conduct public hearings on a county cigarette tax and joining the Chesapeake Bay Region Cigarette Tax Board, also, a short-term rental registry, a transient occupancy tax for any paid lodging in the county and an annual dog license amended to a $20 lifetime license. They will also consider an application from Edward Wayne and Monica Moore for commercial tent camping on a residential waterfront (R2) parcel at 72 Moschetti Lane in Lottsburg on Judith Sound and an application from Aqua Virginia, owner, and Jeff Kapinos, applicant, to replace an elevated water tank on an R2 parcel at 743 Main Street, Reedville.
