The Bay School’s annual fundraising auction and gala will be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Parson’s Point in the Glebe. The theme is “Taking Flight” to celebrate launching into a new era of program growth after 25 successful years serving the Mathews community and beyond, said a press release. The evening will feature a live auction that includes travel, local experiences, and art, along with the return of popular items such as a home-cooked Indian dinner A silent auction of themed collections, along with more art and such exciting experiences as dune hang-gliding in Nags Head, will round out the offerings. Items may be previewed online, and online bidding is underway
