Urbanna Town Council voted at its most recent meeting to only meet once a month for a trial period through December. According to the Southside Sentinel, council set the next three monthly meetings for the second Thursday at 6 p.m. The upcoming meetings will be Oct. 12, Nov. 9, and Dec. 14. There will not be a meeting on Sept. 28 as previously scheduled.
The original meeting schedule only had one meeting in November, due to Thanksgiving; and one meeting in December due to Christmas. Council has been meeting twice a month for more than 20 years, with regular meetings and “work sessions.”
