The Urbanna Town Council has begun searching for another town administrator. Mayor Bill Goldsmith said this week Town Attorney Andrea Erard has received five applications for the town administrator’s position. After she checks the applications, the personnel committee will review the applications and eventually present a recommendation to the full town council. Southside Sentinel reports town council got some advice on finding a town adminis trator from John Anzivino, a town resident since 2016 who currently serves as chairman of the Middlesex Economic Development Authority. Anzivino emphasized the town should check applicants closely and establish what is expected of the administrator. Being town administrator is “a tough job” and they are usually under scrutiny and “on call 24/7,” said Anzivino. He told council that a part-time administrator could be an alternative, if that person has experience.
