Belle Isle State Park will host a presentation on the basics of astrophotography Saturday, October 28. According to the Rappahannock Record, the speaker will be Robert Sutherland, a Kilmarnock-based amateur photographer who has developed an expertise in taking pictures of the night sky. Several of Sutherland’s astronomy photographs have been featured in the Rappahannock Record and at Rappahannock Art League shows. “Astrophotography That Everyone Can Do,” will be held rain or shine at 7 p.m. in the Visitor Center, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster. It is part of a series of Dark Sky-themed talks that have been held at the park this year.
