Lancaster County Virginia Sheriff’s Office recently got in touch with a person whose Facebook page was hacked, going by the name of Yvonne Alexander. The real person is not selling puppies and the hacker is trying to defraud the true account holder as well. This came to their attention when someone inquired about purchasing the puppies and the hacker wanted money up front before actually seeing the puppies in person. This is a common scam. The true account holder of the Facebook page has tried reaching out to Facebook for assistance to no avail. Authorities want the public to know that the real account holder had nothing to do with the scam.
