The Middlesex County School Board (MCSB) voted unanimously to sell .564 acre of property off the St. Clare Walker Middle School property in Locust Hill to Hampton Roads Sanitation Department (HRSD). Southside Sentinel reports the $4,300 proceeds from the sale of the property will go towards a visitor photo identification system for St. Clare Walker Middle School. HRSD is planning to build 30 miles of “interceptor main” that will pump wastewater to an existing line in Middlesex County and eventually to Yorktown for treatment.
