Maryland Man Charged In Deadly Northumberland Stabbing

A Maryland man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies in connection with a stabbing death in Northumberland County. According to the Rappahannock Record, 20 year old Rishon Winkler of Baltimore has been charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of aggravated malicious wounding and one count of attempted second degree murder. Deputies responded shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday to the 2700 block of Brown Store Road for the report of a stabbing. They were met in the driveway by a female victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. A second vicim, Richard E. Jacks, 58, was found deceased inside the residence. The female victim gave a description of the suspect to officers and was transported to VCU/Tappahannock Hospital. Ultimately Winkler was taken into custody.
