Jacob Michael Monday pleaded no contest in Lancaster County Circuit Court to attempted first-degree murder and guilty to a felony for malicious assault on a law enforcement officer, two felonies for assault on a law enforcement officer, and felonies for attempted prisoner escape, property damage to escape, prisoner in possession of a tool to aid escape, and prisoner in possession of a deadly weapon. Monday was charged related to a December 24, 2021, attack on Lancaster County deputy Eddie Daw and two Kilmarnock police officers, Richard Thomas and Chelsi Blake, at the Lancaster jail.
