The Northumberland County Board of Supervisors will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, November 9, at the Courts Building, 220 Judicial Place, Heathsville. The board will hear presentations from Jerry Davis regarding a potential Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development planning grant and from Rob Mangrum regarding the school drainfield project. Also, at 7 p.m., the board will conduct public hearings on conditional use permit applications from: AFD LLC doing business as Virginia Halal Meat Farm, to operate a commercial slaughterhouse on agricultural property on Fruit Plain Road, Callao. Also, Mark Malley, owner, to construct residential solar exceeding 25 kilowatts on residential waterfront property at 1530 Mundy Point Road, Callao. And, Neil Office complex, owner, and Jack Knapp, applicant, to operate a campground on agricultural property at 226 Village Green Drive, Callao.
