Northumberland County will hold a grand opening ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday, November 17, at the new Great Wicomico River Canoe/Kayak/Car Top Boat Launch next to the Great Wicomico Fishing Pier off Jessie duPont Memorial Highway at the foot of Tipers Bridge. The public is urged to park along the sides of the entrance road on the Tipers side of the bridge to allow space for gathering in the parking lot.
