A January 11, 2024 preliminary hearing date has been set for a 31-yearold man who has been charged in connection with the stabbing death of another man at the Foxchase Apartment Complex in Tappahannock. Tyrone Ware Jr., 31 of Caret, was arraigned in Essex County General District Court on November 2. He is currently charged with aggravated malicious wounding in the death of Gene Frederick Cauthorne, III, age 19, of Tappahannock.
