The Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded a fully funded portable radar speed sign through the U.S. Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA).
As driver’s approach the sign, it will display their current speed and give driver’s a reminder to self-correct their speed, if necessary. The sign will also collect much-needed data making it possible to further identify problem areas to where enforcement may be a necessity.
