A Reedville company is notified they’re reaching the annual limit of menhaden being caught from the Chesapeake Bay. According to the Daily Press a letter was sent to Omega Protein by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission informing them the quota is at 75% for the May to November season. The menhaden limit is set by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission. An Omega spokesperson says they will not exceed the cap.
