The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors decides to allocate a portion of federal COVID-19 relief money to deplay high-speed internet. The Gazette-Journal reports nearly $2.6 million will be awarded to Open Broadband for the project. It will provide access to the whole county, not just currently unserved areas. According to Deputy County Administrator Carol Steele the majority of Open Broadband’s request will be spent this year. The county will get additional COVID-19 funding early next year.
