Unofficial election returns show Don R. Harris leading Greg R. Chambers in the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors seat in the Saluda District. The School Board race in the Hartfield District has Jenny I. McMurtrie with a sizeable lead over Pamela L. Burrell Pierce. In Essex County the race for a Board of Supervisors At-Large seat is led by “Bud” Smith, Jr. while Sidney N. Johnson leads the North District Board of Supervisors contest. The School Board At-Large contest has Andrea Johnson Sydnor with a sizeable lead.
