Charges are filed in a Northumberland County hit-and-run collision. It happened Sunday on Browns Stone Road around a half-mile west of Jessie Dupont Memorial Hwy. According to investigators a bicyclist was traveling east in the westbound lane of Browns Stone when it was struck by a westbound SUV. The rider was a 14-year-old from Heathsville and suffered critical injuries. The driver identified as a 25-year-old Heathsville man was not hurt and now faces a felony charge.
