The Virginia Department of Social Services’ Division of Licensing Programs received a $3.8 million grant to provide essential infection prevention and control support to licensed adult care facilities. The funding from the Virginia Department of Health also provides necessary resources to adult care facilities and their staff so they can provide ongoing support in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. The grant also pays for creation of an Infection Prevention and Control Team in each region of the Commonwealth.
