A couple from Gloucester is chosen to receive the First Citizen Award from the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. According to the Virginian-Pilot Mari Ann and Charlie Banks will be awarded at the Chamber’s 2021 First Citizen Gala.taking place next Tuesday. The Bankses moved to White Hall more than three decades ago from Atlanta when Charlie took a job in Newport News. White Hall was built in 1690 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
