There won’t be a Dollar General store coming to Cobbs Creek after the Mathews County Board of Supervisors denied a developer’s conditional use permit application. According to the Gazette-Journal the proposed store at the intersection of Routes 198 and 3 was part of a 4 retailer parcel that was rezoned from rural to business over the summer. It’s not clear if the other stores will be built.
