VMFA Has Cybersecurity Breach

Another Virginia agency is hit by a cybersecurity breach. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts announced its systems were compromised in November forcing their website to shut down. Officials say no sensitive data or personal information was accessed and there is no connection between this incident and the one last week that locked down the General Assembly’s IT systems. A third-party vendor to the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services was also hit by ransomware.
