Governor Glenn Youngkin names Shawn Talmadge to serve as the Virginia Department of Emergency Management’s coordinator. He succeeds Curtis Brown who left near the end of Governor Ralph Northam’s term. Talmadge most recently served as Deputy Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security and held several leadership positions during his carer with the Virginia National Guard. He also served as VDEM’s Director of the Response Programs Division.
