Hooper Found Guilty In 2017 Accidental Death

Rand Hooper is found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2017 death of Graham McCormick resulting from a boating accident in Carter Creek. Hooper was orininaly charged with second-degree murder but according to WTVR the judge struck down that charge saying the prosecution didn’t provide sufficient evidence to sustain it. Sentencing is set for March and Hooper could be in jail for up to 15 years.
