A half-dozen school divisions and the Virginia Department of Education are suing Gov. Glenn Youngkin over his executive order making mask wearing in schools optional. Youngkin says his order lets parents – not school officials – decide whether or not their child has to wear a mask throughout the school day. Attorney General Jason Miyares tells News 8 he won’t enforce Youngkin’s order until there’s rulings on the lawsuits.
