The topic of a new pier in Urbanna took center stage at the recent Town Council meeting. According to the Southside Sentinel it was standing room only at the meeting and the public comment period ran much longer than normal. A permit for the pier was issued several years ago and expires this year after being extended several times. The cost for the pier is estimated at $50,000.
