Mathews County has a new administrator. The Gazette-Journal reports Ramona Carter was appointed to the position last week by the Board of Supervisors. She was last with Powhatan County as Director of Public Works and also served as acting county administrator. Carter worked for 7 years as Assistant Director of Field Operations for the Western Virginia Water Authority. Her first day with Mathews County is April 4.
