March Madness is now under way and even though Virginia has legalized sports betting, college athletics wagers are not allowed. According to NBC12 a state senator sponsored a bill to remove that restriction and while it passed in that chamber a House committee failed to advance the measure. 12 of the the 30 states that legalized sports betting do not allow collegiate wagers.
