The town of Urbanna is creating a Hometown Heroes Veterans Banners program. The Southside Sentinel reports the custom banners honoring those who served the country will hang on lamp posts on Virginia Street and Cross Stree between July and Labor Day. The cost is $100 per banner. To obtain a banner get an application from the Town of Urbanna office on Virginia St. Application deadline is May 13.
