A Gloucester County brush fire that broke out Sunday was brought under control in a few hours. According to Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue it happened in the 2100 block of Jenkins Neck Road and over 2 dozen firefighters fought the 100-acre blaze keeping it from jumping across the road near Heron Haven. There were no injuries reporters and no property damage. The cause is under investigation.
