The Virginia Dept. of Aging & Rehabilitative Services in partnership with the Essex Co.-Tappahannock Triad is holding a driver safety check event on April 5 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Tappahannock Walmart parking lot. Technicians from the “Car-Fit” program will check such things as mirror adjustments to reduce blind spots, foot positioning on pedals, seat positioning/line of sight, and head restraint adjustment.An occupational therapist will be on hand to recommend adaptive devices if needed.
