A dedication for an Essex County historical marker takes place on Sunday. It’s at Angel Visit Baptist Church on Tidewater Trail in Dunnsville and pays tribute to the church’s history and accomplishments over its more than 150-year history. The dedication occurs on the annual Third of April Emancipation Celebration which marks the fall of Richmond to the Union Army. The ceremony starts at 3:00 p.m. and if you can’t attend it will be live-streamed at the church’s Facebook page.
