A one-car accident in Mathews County on Saturday takes the driver’s life. Police say Jason Haczewski was driving southbound on North River Road near Cardinal Road when he ran off the road and hit a tree. He was partially ejected from his pickup truck. Haczewski was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. No one else was in the truck. The crash is under investigation.
