Deputies from the Essex Sheriff’s Office, along with Officers from the Tappahannock Police Department, Tappahannock EMS and the Essex County Superintendent represented First Responders in a basketball game against James H. Cary Intermediate School 6th grade students. The game was part of the school’s end-of-year activities and according to the Sheriff’s Department the students were tough competitors and played an amazing game. They displayed unparalleled sportsmanship and did not make it an easy game.
