Urbanna mayor Barbara M. Hartley has 2 challengers in her re-election bid. According to the Southside Sentinel current council members “Bill” Goldsmith and Steven Hollberg filed their candidates paperwork to get on the November 8 ballot. The mayor’s term will be for four years and begin Jan. 1, 2023. The town council race has seven candidates vying for six seats.
The deadline to file as a candidate was last Tuesday.
