The River Counties Community Foundation awards a $15,000 grant to the Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society which will be used to support a new HVAC/dehumidifier and upgrades for the main museum building. Foundation Director Lincoln Boykin tells the Southside Sentinel the current HVAC equipment is more than 20 years old and with the hot and humid summers on the Middle Peninsula the issue needs to be rectified. The museum is located in Saluda on General Puller Highway.
