This Friday is the deadline to submit entries for the chapter level of the Virginia Writers Golden Nib Contest. Chesapeake Bay Writers publicity director Denise DeVries tells the Rappahannock Record the competition in fiction, nonfiction and poetry offers cash prizes for first, second and third place in each category. Each chapter forwards its firstplace winning entries from each category for judging at the State level. The winners are announced at the VWC annual meeting held in November.
