The Gloucester County Bpard of Supervisors gives the green light for Gloucester County Public Schools to apply for a grant through the state Department of Criminal Justice School Resource Officer program. According to the Gazette-Journal 3 more officers re needed to have one at each of the county’s public schools. The grant covers the salary and benefits for a four-year cycle. SROs are employees of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and would serve as road deputies when not at the schools.
