Gas prices are continuing to drop from the record highs set last month. According to Triple-A the average in Virginia for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $4.21, more than 60 cents lower than the record. One year ago the statewide average was just under $3 a gallon. Lancaster County is well above the state average at $4.38. You can save a little bit by going to Westmoreland County where the average is $4.22.
