The investigation is continuing into a suspected home invasion and shooting on Monday in the Carter’s Cove subdivision of Gloucester County. Police say 18-year-old Skyler Merenda was killed and a 20-year-old man was injured at the home in the 4300 block of Bufflehead Drive where the 2 lived. The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is being assisted by Virginia State Police and the Tidewater Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
