Northumberland County BOS Looking At Radio Upgrade Financing

The Northumberland County board of supervisors is continuing to work on plans for a multi-million dollar emergency services radio upgrade. The Rappahannock Record reports the board received a presentation from Davenport Public Finance senior vice president David Rose on options for the $6 million cost. The plans have a 5% interest rate with either a 10-year or 15-year repayment plan. Financing sources could be private banks or the county could apply for funding through the Virginia Resource Authority.
