It’s been a busy year for Richmond County EMS personnel. News on the Neck reports that through November there’s been over 1,500 service calls or about 5 times as many than just a few years ago. The department average response time is 8.64 minutes and that’s the lowest number since data was recorded. In District 1 the average call time was 5.95 minutes.The ultimate goal is to have an ambulance anywhere in Richmond County within 5 to 6 minutes.
